Win 11 22H2 "Controlled Folder Access" CO23 (16.0.2) not allowed to access files, must be added manually

FILE ACCESS Windows 11 22H2 potential issues
Hello,

I have had some file access issues with latest CO 23 (16.0.2) update (and probably related to earlier versions too) linked to my Win 11-64 22H2 version and the settings of "Windows Security & Controlled Folders".

I had to add "CaptureOne.exe, ImgCoreProcess.exe and MPCoreTool.exe" to my "Allow an app through Controlled Folder Access" in the "OS - Settings - Virus and threat protection settings - Controlled Folder access".

So if some of your photo and/or data files are located into your Win OS "Protected Area", then CO23 does not work or get jammed and basically you need to "kill" the application, and your DB might get into an unstable state.

But once the "exe" are allowed it sems to work OK :)

It could be nice to know which or all CO23 exe files that should have "full access", and/or that CO1 proposes or check this during installation.

  Hi, same issue here

  Need to add Capture One and other Photo Apps as allowed in Microsoft Protection against Ransomware parameters.
