Capture One not showing adjustments for located images in a Catalogue

I had moved my Capture One catalogue to an external drive by just dragging it from the original folder to the drive. After copying the Catalogue back to my computer and locating the images (initially images showed as unavailable), the adjustments are not showing up. I discovered that I was supposed to have relocated the images to my external drive within Capture One so that the software kept the connection. Lesson learned, but is there a way to locate the metadata for the adjustments? The Load Metadata and Sync Metadata in the Image tab is not doing anything.
