why is this side so f...g complicated

I just wnat to ask a simple question. Why for god sake is my "capture one 20 " not running on my old computer anymore, eversince I purchased the 23 version for my new macbook pro.

I paid for it, so ot should run until I decide to delete it.

  Perhaps because you now have a new Capture One license, as it replaces your old one. Provided you don't have too many concurrent activations you can use your new key to activate whichever versions you want, so you could use it to activate 23 on one machine and 20 on another if you want to. But your old key will have been superseded. It's an odd system, and they are not good at explaining how these things work, but that is how they do it.
