It CAN work but...dd you need and wont work with "old" photos on travel? If not, then I think the better way is to work on your laptop with Session(s).

That is not possible.What you can do is:Process RAW files in C1 and then save it as TIFF or PSD. Then open the file in PS and convert the layer to smartobject.
