how can i edit keywords? there is one i created in error and not in use but cannot seem to delete it.

greetings! i downloaded the suggested exif editor. chose edit with and made my changes, hit process. now how does CO see the changes? not seeing them in CO. Do I need to export and reimport? hoping...
