No..that should work just fine on any version of C1. You might want to open a support ticket with C1 on this one, as that that is basic functionality. HTH, cayenne

If you are moving from LR to C1...and not having a good experience. You might look into a trial of On1 RAW....it is much more similar to LR, but has some great functionality, with layers, luminance...
