Run the catalog locally and put the files on the server.Media Pro doesn't work well over a network...but it can retrieve the images over one. I keep the updated catalogs on the server for download....

I have basically the same computer set up as you...but fortunately mine is working. No crash yet, but I must say I have only been testing it for an hour or so.Seems to be much faster at importing.Y...
