I would like to add my support to this request. I've just purchased this lens and whilst it's great to see all of the other new releases from Fujifilm are supported, it's really disappointing to see this isn't.

I get that you need to be led by data when prioritising product improvements (I'm a Product Director so I totally understand this), but it does leave a nasty taste in the mouths of those who moved to Capture One because of the promised support for certain brands, only to find that Capture One is a bit behind the curve.

Apologies on the name. After 20 years of long hand Photoshop I now find myself trying to learn Capture One with a hectic shooting diary. Thank Capture for your informative reply. I think I accidentally set the lens correction to manufacturers profile which seems to work but I haven’t worked out how to adjust the light fall off other than to do it manually ( long hand) each time…? I am however getting good results over all which is positive.

    Best Walter

Thank you for your feedback. We value your input and strive to be transparent about known bugs and future camera support. However, we are not quite there yet for lens support.

Our goal is to support as many lenses as possible, and we use in-app data to determine which are in high demand. Even if your lens does not have a dedicated profile designed by our engineers, you can still achieve great results using Capture One’s powerful lens correction tools with a Generic or Manufacturer profile: Working with an unlisted lens profile.

Since this is not currently considered a feature request, I will move this post now.

3 months on and still no support for this lens. Please provide an update. It's getting extremely frustrating and I am now considering moving back to Adobe. I don't want to, but I feel support from Capture One and the drive for flashy new features is leaving many of us a bit cold. Please don't go the same way as Adobe, and provide us with the great camera and lens coverage as you used to.

It is absolutely unsatisfactory and above all neither comprehensible nor transparent why Capture One provides a separate lens profile for each Fujinon GF lens, but not for the Fujinon GF20-35/4. Even the much newer GF55/1.7 was provided with its own lens profile by Capture One quite quickly after the release - although this Fujinon GF lens was also supplied with a manufacturer's own "manufacturer profile". .
It is therefore quite legitimate for us users to ask why only the Fujinon GF20-35/4 is not processed by Capture One. What makes the difference here? Capture One is not doing itself any favours and is unnecessarily offending its customers.
As written by Denis Huk, CaptureOne, anyone can use the "Manufacturer Profile" of the Fujinon GF 20-35/4 with a clear conscience. And as John Friend writes, it can certainly lead to interesting results.  Obviously Capture One is not able to create its own lens profile for the Fujinon GF20-35/4. This is surprising, but should not be the only reason to stop using Capture One. There are truly more decisive reasons.

I agree that it has become difficult to understand why Capture One has not profiled the Fujifilm GF20-35mm lens.  After using the software for about a year now and looking at the advances made to the program, it seems that the company is heavily focused on portrait and studio photographers, and much less so on folks who work in landscape.  I think this bias is seen in the training sessions and the speed with which new lenses are profiled.  The Fujifilm GF55mm f1.7 is a case in point.  If they can't do it in-house, then they should contract out the work.

I switched from Lightroom and DxO (used in combination) to Capture One because it did a better job with colors on the Fujifilm GF cameras.  But Adobe and DxO have MUCH better hardware support.  This lack of hardware support makes it difficult for me to recommend Capture One to non-Fujifilm users who do landscape photography.

I am an architectural photography and have recently acquired the 20- 35 mm GF .. great lens! The addition of Fuji has caused me to try Capture One again.. on a three month trial. I was lead to believe there is a better relationship with Fuji. Capture One is looking good but guess what the first fail was? I don’t want to cobble together manufacturers profiles and do a work around…

In the LCC tool I think you can create a preset and possibly make it the default for that lens.

Manufactures profile is set to default but does not include the light fall off? I don’t know how to change it. I went to create lCC in adjustments but the values were way off so deleted the profile created .. this is going to take time .. that is why the usual profile from the drop down list is just so much easier….
