    Hi everyone,
Thank you for the suggestion - this is not something we are currently working on.

This does not mean this is a bad suggestion or that it will never be adressed, but in an effort of transparency we want you to know that we are not currently allocating resources to solving this issue.

We will revisit the status of this thread if and when it changes.

    It would be great.

Moved from the archive on 15.05.23.

    Hi Jonas,

Thank you for feedback on Capture One - this is always welcomed and encouraged among our users and we appreciate the time you've taken to contribute towards the development of the software.

I have forwarded your comments and suggestions to our Product Management team as something to consider in a future release.

Whilst we cannot comment on future releases, we take all suggestions on board and hopefully your feedback contributes towards a future version of Capture One.

This would really help my work flow. Please include plugin support for Affinity Photo.

    Thanks.....

Yes, being able to catalog (or in session) Affinity files would be very nice and good for Capture One who probably wants to welcome "switchers".

    That would be great!

+1 Yes, the combination C1 + AP is very common and better integration could really simpify the workflow!

Any news? Is there any planned integration with Affinity Photo? Can we hope?

    Still expecting too!

As well as waiting for a new key modifier for the crop tool that would allow to lock the current aspect ratio whatever the ratio the crop tool is set up to (not only when it's set to "unconstrained ratio"). It makes waste so much time!

I would like this too, and I have always assumed that it would be easy enough to do. But I seem to remember reading something somewhere that explained why it actually wasn't so simple - I can't remember if it was to do with some technical aspect of the Affinity files, or something to do with licensing and copyright of the file format.

Perhaps someone who knows could explain.

Ian Wilson Is it because Affinity files (Photo, Designer, Publisher) are 'packages' that can equally be opened by any app of the suite (Photo can open a Publisher file…)? I think the extension (.photo, .pub…) is only here so that files open with the expected app. But there might be other reasons, other than technical, for Capture One not supporting Affinity files !?

At least the crop tool has been improved, saving me time.

+1 because more and more people want to step away from adobe :) (in my personal overview)

Thanks for the honest message that there is not „integration“ planned. I personally don’t like this decision but it is like it is. I want to mention one point, i really often use affinity publisher, the performance of showing referenced / linked pictures is way better than in indesign. Please don’t forget to look left and right from the big dominating brands.
Capture one is my main editing tool and it will stay like that, AI based sky replacement or fill Functions is nothing I need, where the big brand shines…
So maybe we will see a support for affinity in the future, at least I hope it.

Even being able to catalogue a thumbnail and select ‘Open With” or “Edit with” would really help my workflow.

If .afphoto file was supported it would solve the transition from Adobe to Affinity with C1.

Personally i am not switching to C1 until Affinity Photo file is supported.
