Capture One 16.3 and macOS Sonoma

Hello.

Did somebody try CO 16.3 with macOS Sonoma even though it's not yet officially supported? Usually I wait several months / a year before upgrading to the latest macOS version, but I've bought a new 4K monitor and — as crazy as it may sound — Sonoma is the first macOS that allows to increase font size while keeping the maximum resolution.

    But it is officially supported!

    • Capture One 16.3.2 supports Sonoma up to Sonoma 14.1.

    I'm stuck on loading screen with Mac Sonoma 14.1.1 and CaptureOne 23 16.3.2.32. Anyone have a solution?

    Did it work OK before? If so, did that change when you updated Sonoma, or when you updated Capture One? The release notes say that Sonoma is supported up to 14.1, but I assume it would be surprising if there extra .1 made any difference.

    Have you tried uninstalling Capture One and doing a fresh installation?

    When you say "stuck on the loading screen" what do you mean? Can you share a screenshot?

    And is there anything in logs, what is the last thing the app reports it is trying to do?

    my capture one was working before. it stays on the welcome to Capture One screen and can't move forward.

    so i got it to open. clicked, log in, add serial but now my catalog is only showing 5 photos and tools missing.

    This is opening an existing catalog?

    What tools are missing? Is it just that it has opened in the default workspace not your usual workspace?

    i'm opening an existing catalog that is 60gb in size, but only a few photos show up. the side panel where the tools are supposed to be is blank. this is where the folders and collections are supposed to be too.

    So I asked you earlier whether you had tried uninstalling Capture One, and then reinstalling it. Did you try that?

    i also tried creating a new catalog but still missing the tools.

    Your system is running macOS 14.1.1. Capture One 16.3.2 is certified for up to 14.1. I don't know if that is the root cause, but it is always best to NOT apply OS updates until all your software is certified as compatible.
