full screen don't work
When I installed CO 20, and when I am working with CO 20 with my pictures, I can not see picture in full screen size. F11 only take away some tool bar, don't show full screen picture, like it did in version CO 12.
Now if I open version CO 12, it don't show full screen either.
I have checked proof margin in preferences. I have tried all variants in customize viewer, don't help.
I have CO 20 in my laptop too, in laptop full screen works properly. Both laptop and desktop have Win 64 bit 10 home.

Have you tried View menu > Full Screen or short cut 'F'? 0 -
F and full screen have no effect. Now I have other picture viewer open to see pics in full size. I use full screen very often. jouni 0 -
Weird.
Not much help I know, but F11 is working exactly as expected here on my Win 8.1 desktop machine.0 -
If I uninstall both: V12 ansd V 20 and install 20 again, could that help. Must I inactivate both that I don't loose a chair? jouni 0 -
If you have your own Workspaces defined and your own Keyboard Shortcuts you may need to know that some keys may be different.
For example the Full Screen keyboard shortcut up to V12 has been F11 (Function Key) but the default key for Full Screen n V20 is now F.
If you are using the Default Workspace (for example - or any other "default" Workspace shipped with C1) you should also see the default Keyboard Short Cut definitions and "F" should give you Full Screen.
If, however, you are using a Shortcut definition brought in from V12 it may be set to F11 - or possibly some other key/key combination defined in that personalised set.
You can easily check using the "Edit Keyboard Shortcuts" tool which has a search feature for Keys that lists where the key is used or "Command" - such as "Full" which will list all the commands that contain the character string "full" and show the keys used.
Check those possibilities first. Certainly before deleting and re-installing everything.

The OP has also selected Full Screen from the View menu without success, Grant - this isn't just a keyboard shortcut issue.1 -

It still might be Keith.
There is room for confusion based on what I have read so far. Hence the suggestion to check everything, not least the Short Cut editor for the current Workspace/Shortcuts combination.

I have the same issue as the OP. For all three possibilities (F key, F11 key, menu View > Full Screen) the only effect is that the upper bar with menu and buttons is hidden while the browser and tool tabs remain. CO v. 20, Win 10 Pro 1909.
Maybe the unsupported 1909 Windows build?
Pavel
That's absolutely normal. Windows version does not have the "auto hide" feature like Mac version. You have to hide Browser and tools by yourself.0 -

Could you please provide a screenshot of CO in both your desktop and your laptop in full screen and not?0 -
OK, digging a little deeper here I think the changes introduced for certain aspects of the UI may have had some slightly unusual results.
Things seem to be presenting a little differently than previously.
F10 seems to be the nearest equivalent of the Viewer only mode in that it drops the Tools and Browser and display only the Viewer in full screen or near full screen according to preferences.
Viewer - F11 Full screen seems to just toggle the toolbar as Jouni observed
G simply toggles Viewer on and off.
In the Keyboard Short cuts for V20 Default
F11 is not found
F10 relates to "Window (menu)> Viewer"
G relates to "View (menu) > Viewer"
and there is another option, undefined by default, for
"Other > View > Viewer Mode > Show Viewer".
I'm sure it is all very logical really but there seems to be plenty of scope for confusion.
I think the basic command that Jouni needs are F10 to start a viewer tool and then "F" on the keyboard to toggle it between Full screen and a minimised display as a "Floating tool".
I think things could be improved and/or clarified.

Considering what Jouni wrote I don't read it as a "Tools and Browser not hiding" issue 'cause they never did (Windows is missing auto-hide feature since ever) and they wouldn't on his desktop either. But he clearly says that what he is looking for is working on his desktop, so, giving for granted he's really experiencing this, he can't be referring to that (non-)issue. And since he talked about proof margin and viewer modes, I read it as the image not taking the full space but, if this was the case, it wouldn't regardless of full screen mode. So there's a lot to be puzzled by and that's why I asked for some screenshots.
Also F11 is the full screen shortcut since ever in Windows (many programs use it) and I may be wrong but I remember I've always used F10 to open the second viewer too, which of course is not a full screen mode by itself. In my CO20 shortcuts list G is assigned by default to another feature and, contrary to what User guide says, F is too.
"Other > View > Viewer Mode > Show Viewer" is basically useless. It brings viewer back when it's hidden, but it's redundant in my opinion since Ctrl+Alt+V shortcut still toggles between hide and view. Also the latter always works while the former doesn't when the second viewer is on screen.
I could add that the only way I know to see just the image in a real "full screen" is the slide show (no shortcut assigned by default). But this is another story.0 -

O.K., thank you, Claus, for your clarification. However, the user guide (https://support.captureone.com/hc/en-us/articles/360002474418-Full-Screen-mode) does not say anything about this difference between Windows and Mac.
That is an omission, obviously. And unless this has recently changed, Capture One has always been rather silent about the differences between the Mac and Windows version in their documentation. These differences are sometimes subtle, but sometimes not and confusing for users.
An omission I personally regret and which I hope will be addressed better in the future.0 -

ClauS, that was it, I seem to need F and F10 to see screen in full size. I use full screen often. During workingh When picture is almost ready, I want to see it in full size. It should be cumbersome to open it in other viewer all the time.

You had to thank Grant for his tips, not me. In my opinion it's still confusing what you said in your first post (of something working on your desktop but not on your laptop with the same F key). Unless you had changed shortcuts by yourself I believe you had been fooled or got confused someway. However, I'm glad you 've found what you were looking for.0 -
tHANK YOU EVERYBODY, SPECIALLY GRANT, IT IS SOLVED AND WORKS WELL NOW. SOLUTION WAS, i USE BOTH f AND f10.

Jouni,
I'm very pleased that you have things working once again and also thank you for your thanks.
I think the changes that have been made to the UI have introduced some different effects to what has been possible until now. It seems to be possible to work much the same way with a little adjustment to how we do it BUT I think it might be possible to further improve things and refine the options and so the user experience.
What suggestions can we make?
