Problems with 1394 drivers in windows10 built1909
The drivers ar not loaded automatic, you have to search for them manualy and load them but then the software not recignize the camera back! In the property tab for the device it tells you that
"Device 1394/E058&52/00E05800008E848A requires further installation"....?!
Anybody has a clue to this problem???
Has tryed tethered on all my 3 computers and on CO1 12, 20, 20.2, all with te same result,
No cameraback recogniced by the software...?!
My Nikon though, works fine on USB3.
Hate to be forced to roll back to an earlier Windows version on my studio computer...but it worked then... 😭

I heard earlier of a FireWire issue with Win10 1903/1909 builds. Have you contacted Phase One support. They can quickly tell whether there is a fix.
If you do so, it would be interesting to know.
And/or, have you posted the issue in the P back forum here? Phase One support might chime in there.

Hi Paul!
Yes I have made a support case, but heard nothing yet..
Let you all know when I get som response.

If you have a Phase One back you can open a support case with Phase One instead of Capture One (you perhaps did do that already). They might respond quicker.

Hi again everybody!
This is the answer i got from support:
11-02-2020 09:51SupporterHi Per - yes it is stated that CO 20.0.2 is compatible with the latest WIN10 update but this is not the same as the firewire connection is supported as support and compatibility are 2 different things, sorry of this was not clear. Capture One will run but a firewire device will not connect!
However - yes you should roll back your OS to the former version as stated in the article and your firewire should - as before - connect and work fine.

10-02-2020 19:38MeHi Jesper and thanks for your reply!
As I feard is is a Windows compability problem after all.
A rollback of my Win10 1909 is the way to go for me.
But witch version is tested to work?
It is stated in de CO1 20.2 uppgrade that it is compatible with Win10 1903,
does this include the Tethering with 1394 backs, or am I forced to go back even futher to 1809 ?
/Per10-02-2020 08:20SupporterHi - thanks for writing,
please follow the link below for a description to why your WIN10 installation will no longer work. This is due to a Microsoft Windows update that camerabacks but also video cameras and sound modules are having issues with !
https://www.phaseone.com/en/Search/Article?articleid=2327&languageid=1
The workwround is to either use a WIN7 stand-alone computer for the shooting, use an older Win10 installation or convers and use a stand alone Mac for the connection. Or use the CF-card and import the files.
For now you nhave an explanation and different workaround until Microsoft eventually bring out a fix for the firewire drivers.
Let me know if you have further comments or concerns.
.... Windows uppdates again... A lot of time and work to get the system running , I am so tired of this!!!!!!!
