It's not the only one. The 200 - 500mm f/5.6 is very popular among those of us who can't afford the big primes, and even with some pro wildlife photographers, but there's no profile for it.

No there isn't. But generally there are quite a few longer lenses for which there are no profiles, and that may be because a tele is less prone to obvious distortion than a wide-angle. I have recently got the 200-500 and I am still getting used to it. But I have not so far noticed any distortion that needed correction, so what would a profile for the lens do for me?

Have you tried using a profile from a similar lens? I have a Tamron 17-35mm f2.8-4.0 that I shoot with a lot, and there's no profile for it. The barrel distortion also isn't linear/spherical (mustache distortion?) so simply adjusting sliders doesn't work. However, I can use the profile from another Tamron lens, the 24-70mm f2.8, and it still works. You may have to play with some of the vignetting or other settings, but it's at least worth a try.

Best way for us to gauge user demand for these missing profiles is via our case system. I suggest you send us the request via the link in my profile.
