I'm not sure about the loading errors but when I migrated about 10,000 images from LR, it literally took several hours for all the previews to be generated...and I'm running on a fairly new, well loaded iMac.  You may want to take a look at the Activities and Event Log windows to see what's s going on.

Thank You. Yes I did look at it. Nothing very clear. When transfer done, each time you open a catalog is it also generating preview that postpone the opening?

The preview file is a basis for other activities when using Capture One.

Opening the catalogue involves loading the previews, etc. into memory and making any adjustment that might be necessary for size or various settings that are active but might not be the same as selected for the Preview files.

There are many variables possible. A simple explanation of your observation may not always be possible.

    Hi Alain,

It took a full night for me to migrate from LR to C1 with about 15,000 images at this time, and with some loading errors I corrected individually. What takes the longest time is creating the previews : if you don't wait for the end of the full process, the previews will continue to be built when you open your catalogue.

You could create several catalogues, as you suggested, and then merging them into one. But 92,000 images is quite a lot for Capture One, and I am not sure it would work nicely. I would be interested in the result of your migration and the flawless working of your catalogue, once it is eventually transferred.

Thank you all. It is crystal clear. However, these are very significant disadvantages compared to my needs and my experience with LR6. Therefore, I am almost sure not to opt for this software and to choose LR Classic despite my initial desire. Thanks again.
