It depends on the version. C1 Pro will support what you are looking for. You are probably best trialing the Pro version.

I'm trialing the C1 Pro version.  When C! opens the archive where  the tiffs and jpegs file are, the file appears empty, nothing to import.

Have you checked the C1 Preferences

Edit > Preferences > Image [tab]

To make sure that Editing of TIFF and jpg files is active?

If so but C1 does not seem to be seeing files when the folder is selected are the Tiffs and jpgs you expect to find there in RGB colour space (i.e. NOT Greyscale) and of sizes that fit within the technical size constraints? (It would be quite unusual to have an entire collection of tiffs and jpgs that failed the size constraint test! See the Release Notes or search the Support Resources for further details for size requirements.)

What may have changed in your system between yesterday when everything worked and today when it does not work?

Nothing at all. I managed to import files once again by deleting the folders of the C1 in the user folder (app data etc.). Import seems to work just once( and it works just fine with all formats). It is definitly some kind of a bug.
