I have it installed on my laptop for work on the go and on two separate desktops (office and home) when I'm not traveling. Actual use is only on one at a time. The management of your license is easy online; I just deactivated the license from an old computer and then downloaded and activated the license on the new replacement system moments ago.

Aha, so I can have it installed on my two computers. Is it just to logout or do I have to as you write: deactivate? on one of them and then just activate on the other. Its a pity you can't have two running without this activating and deactivating. Do I undersand correct? Thanks Mikael

Mikael, you can have the software installed and license activated on three computers at the same time and do NOT have to deactivate and reactivate the license as you switch between using the different computers. But, you are not supposed to have Capture One open and actively running simultaneously on more than one computer at a time.

So, you can have it installed and registered on up to 3 machines so long as it is only running on one machine at a given moment in time. For example, I'm not allowed to let my girlfriend use Capture One to edit on my desktop while I also have it open and in use on my laptop.

I, too, left Adobe for Capture One and you will love using it. It has a different work flow, but works so much faster and better for me. It can work for asset management, and there is a lot to get used to, but so worth it.

Note: The number of activations available varies according to Capture One version.  This was recently discussed in another thread.  See the bottom of this support page ==> https://support.captureone.com/hc/en-us/articles/360007791797-All-about-Capture-One-licenses

It will tell you how many activations you have with the various versions.

Thanks for all info, now I understand and I am really looking forward to use CO. What I have seen so far is really good!
