Upgrading to V21 = reducing seats?

I have a V12 Pro and V20 Nikon license. I could upgrade both, but Nikon only would be cheaper.

I saw, that the V21 License for camera-specific C1 contains only 1 seat (previously 2). What happens if I upgrade my Nikon specific license? Are my seats then reduced. If yes: only if I install V21 or for V20 as well?

  I read that if you have an older version with more seats, you retain the number of seats you already have.

  And see this sentence about perpetual licences, a couple of paragraphs above the heading about subscriptions. 

  NOTE: If you have purchased the license before, the number of activations will be the same when you upgrade.

  So it doesn't matter if I upgrade my V20 Nikon license or 12 Pro license to 21, I will keep 2/3 seats (Nikon/Pro)?

  Hi,

  The number of activations will remain the same for you in Capture One 21.

  You will have 3 activations for Capture One Pro (in case you decide to upgrade this license) and 2 activations for Capture One for Nikon.
