C1 21 Import Issue

If I try to import a single image to C1 by dropping from a memory card onto C1, the import dialog opens but it shows ALL the images selected on the memory card, not just the image(s) I dropped on C1. 

The same thing happens when I use a culling program. When I transfer my selected images to C1, the import dialog opens and shows all the images on the card selected.  

This workflow worked fine in 20 but something seems to be broken in 21.

Anyone know a workaround?

    I have been in contact with C1 support and they acknowledge this behavior is a bug and will be fixed in a future release.  No timeframe on the fix.

    Mark, Thanks for the update and contacting support.  Just so we know 21.0.1 doesn't fix this bug.

    Hi,

    Jeremy on Macbook pro 2020 + Catalina 10.15.7

    I have the same kind of problem. If I import from a card into an existing folder the images figure in the last import collection, they are in the folder but when I click on the folder in C1 they do not appear.

    However they are counted in the total images.

    If I retry C1 doesn't import as it says they already exist.

    Workaround: create a new folder on import then move the image files.

    I will make a support case.

    Hi Mark,

    No images in trash but they figure in the last import collection.

    I have found another workaround - drag and drop the images from last import collection to the folder.

    This then updates.

    Quicker than creating a specific import folder and then moving the files to the right place and deleting the ad hoc folder.

    I have also noticed that some imports work as they should - so the phenomenon appears to be random.

    Hi all,

    Here is an update that could be useful and that I have just added to my support case:

     
    The bug I described when I import images into the catalogue only appears to materialise when I import into my catalogue, which was created by earlier versions of Capture 1.
     
    I have used in succession v8, v10, v12 and now v21.
     
    I have created a new (experimental) catalogue in C1 v21 and have no problem importing images, whether into new folders or old ones referenced by my catalogue.
     
    This would appear to indicate that perhaps the problem comes from the update process of the catalogue from C1 v12.

    If any of you are experiencing the same kind of bug see if this makes a difference.
