    Peter,

Does the Lens tool show the lens as having "Manufacturer Profile" applied?

yes it does, but in the drop down menu there is no 16-80mm mentioned. All the other lenses are.

There you are then, do you find Fuji's own correction so poor that you think CO could do a lot better?  Did you know that if you were using Lightroom you would find that all lens corrections for fuji interchangeable lens cameras use the manufacturers built In (to lens metadata) profiles.

To see that lens correction is being applied just slide the Vervorming slider from 100 to 0.

Thanks Dave for the friendly way my question is answered by you. Yes i know all that. I thought that when it was not mentioned in the drop down menu it was not supported

oops Sorry, must have been something I ate for lunch made me grumpy. ;-)

By the way it is interesting that if you compare Fuji and CO correction for the same lens (where CO have made a profile ) the CO profile crops a noticeable amount of the image compared with the Fuji profile.

Only for a few lenses, from my experience. The XC 16-50 comes to my mind, where there are huge differences between the CO and Fuji profiles, especially on the wide end. I'd rather consider this a bug in the CO profile than a feature.

Most profiles a fairly close to the manufacturer profiles, though.

@Dave R, @Markus Stamm Thanks for your support. I think I know now what manufactured profile means.

By the way, you have asked when there will be support in version 20 - the answer is never, because now that they have moved on to version 21, they won't update version 20 with support for new cameras and lenses.

That said, Manufacturer Profile should work fine, as noted above. If it does, then there is a fair chance that Capture One won't feel the need to add their own profile for this lens in 21 either.

    Peter,

I think you are one of the first people I can remember who has returned with a post to say that they now understand what the Manufacturer profile means. Thank you for that!

There is a document somewhere that covers the subject. Let's see if I can find it ...

... well, this is not quite the one I vaguely recall but the note at the end may be helpful.

I think this was the one I had in mind.
