What is the best way to hand over a catalog to an external editor

Hi, what is the best or usual way to hand over a catalog to an external editor (service provider - not software editor).

I usually store my catalog without the raw files in it. They are co-located besides the cocatalog file within a seperate "Capture" folder. When I hand over only the catalog file to the service providing editor, the images appear offline and i.e. repair or stamp tool can not be used.

Exposure correction i.e. is possible.

Same question for session.
