Capture One 20 running very slow on Mac Studio with 1TB SSd and 32GB Ram

I was surprised to find out that Capture One runs sooo much slower on my brand new Mac Studio that it did on my old Mac Pro (late 2013).  What gives?  Will the new Capture Pro 22 or whatever the new version will be numbered as be optimized for the new M1 chips?  When?

  Capture One hardly ever reveals plans for the future. The one exception I know is vague statements during October when they want users to pay up front for the coming (December) major release.

  Nevertheless; some users expect/hope some other user will guess Capture One's plans for them.

  I believe I have seen postings claiming version 22 being slow on M1 as well. You should search the Mac forum to find threads like: https://support.captureone.com/hc/en-us/community/posts/4405609251613-Lightroom-Classic-feels-3x-faster-than-Capture-One-on-M1-Pro-Macbook
