How to hide the search bar without hiding the browser or tool bars
Hi,
I recently upgraded from CaptureOne 21 to CaptureOne Pro 22 and the following problem appeared:
Does anyone know how I can hide the search bar at the top of the browser (below the main image)? The trouble is that I'm using speed edit keyboard shortcuts (W, W, E, R, H, L, B, T, Ctrl+1 etc.) all the time, and when I write a number into any field, for instance Saturation 10 or -10 and press Enter, then every time I press Enter the cursor jumps into the search window and when I then press a keyboard shortcut like H or B, instead of performing the command, I'm just writing H or B into the search window. Then I realize that the command does nothing, erase the letter from the search window, click on the image (so that the cursor disappears from the search window) and press the keyboard shortcut again, and that happens several times with each image. It's so stupid and so extremely annoying. I don't want to click on each image 10 times during the edit - that's not speed editing, that's a nonsense. I don't need that search window under the image, I need it once every few weeks or months.
I was searching in the C1 menu, then I was searching online for help but I only found "help" like "hide the browser" or similar, but I don't want to hide the browser, I'm using it, I just want to hide the damn search bar, or somehow avoid the cursor jumping into the search bar every time i press Enter.
Thank you.

I'm having a similar issue and it's driving me nuts! Constantly getting searches for say "qqqqqqqqqqq" when I'm trying to use speed edit and I know the input is definitely NOT in the search box, but it jumps there and does a search for whichever key I held down instead of activating speed edit for that key. It's really irritating! I'd love to be able to hide the search bar too if they can't fix this bug. I say "can't", what I mean is "won't". C1 don't like fixing bugs, they prefer to mess with the UI and add new bugs.

I think I read somewhere that this is a known bug and they are working on it.

Thanks Ian, I really hope they are working on a fix

I sincerely hope so. "Speed" editing with C1 has become a nightmare.

I flagged this as an issue some time ago. No fix has been implemented yet.
But good to know I'm not the only one being affected by this. Make sure to open a ticket yourself so support is aware of how many people this actually affects.0 -
For me this appears to be solved in 15.3.3
It was not listed in the release notes, but I cannot trigger the issue anymore. If it's not fixed for you, a workaround is using a browser film-strip on the side instead of bellow and keeping it narrow enough so that the search field collapses.

Awesome, thanks for letting us know!
I'll install 15.3.3 and report back if the issue seems to be fixed.0 -
Seems fixed here.. Running 15.3.3... What a relief !
