    i have updated today from cap one 22 to 23, and when i get axess there was a catalog there whit different pictures and name, i think is that normal and i also get a new license key, some one have the same experience ?

    Tore Edvinsen   Yes, a new default catalog is created called "Capture One Catalog" – you can open an existing catalog by going to File > Open

    You get a new license key if you purchased an upgrade. If you have a subscription, you should be using the same license key.

    Yes i have a Subscription, opiatet cap one yesterday with my existing license key, but now there is a different key in the license agreement? and there was a existing catalog there from the start of cap 23 which different pictures ( not mine ) 6 pictures 4 different names...

    Tore Edvinsen Not sure what you mean about the key in the license agreement, could you attach a screenshot?

    Sounds like you've loaded sample images contained in the default catalog. Open an existing Capture One catalog by going to File > Open and then browsing to the location your desired catalog is stored in.

    I have downloaded Capture 1 23 onto my computer and have begun to find my files.  What about Capture 1 22 as it remains here.  Should I delete it?

    James Diedrich There's nothing stopping you having multiple versions installed, but you may find it's easier to keep only one version at a time. They will not affect one another, but you can only have one version open at any one time.

    Tore Edvinsen You're on a trial license. You need to deactivate and activate using your subscription license key.

    II have pre-upgrade to pro23, but when I try to upgrade  by "Validate" with the license you sent me, I get get a "invalid key is provided" message?

    I purchased the upgrade in advance and received a License key that I am using in Capture One 22. Will I have to deactivate C1-22 before I can use the same License key in C1-23?

    Dear CO,

    Love the app but the upgrade process is odd and convoluted from the moment I placed my pre-order. 

    Imaging this, I'm in the middle of editing a large wedding, I get an email from the great folks at Capture One reminding me to pre-order 23.
    Kewl....I make my order and want to get back to work. NOPE......I now have to enter my new serial number in my current version to continue. Not entirely obvious I need to do this and now I have to signing to the website, authorize with the new serial number that I just purchased. Seems the system should already know this and authorize my older version. 

    Come to today.....I download and install the latest version. Log in to authorize an already authorized version, WHEW.

    Launch the new Capture One and enter a new realm of frustrated. Does MY catalog show up, does anything thats looks like my settings show up. NOPE.....I see a new install screen. Confusingly I see Capture One wanting to find my images. Uh....no. I already have a catalog thank you. There is no option to import my previous catalogs at this point. Just a new install with no guidance. 

    Now remembering this annoyance from the past I simply exit and re-launch Capture One. At this point I'm able to open my latest catalog and the conversion begins. 

    Frustrated and wanting to get back to work, I realize my workspace has been reset. What the heck.......more hurdles. 

    No\w to open the catalog I want to work on. NOPE.....my Library showing previously opened catalogs has been reset. Now to re-open the catalog I need. 

    On top of all that, several system settings have been reset to default completly burning up any productivity for the last hour.

    This should not be so completed and convoluted. 

    For anyone upgrading here are a few tips:

    Pre Install:
    - SAVE YOUR WORKSPACE
    - SAVE CUSTOM KEYBOARD SHORTCUTS
    - Have your Capture One login handy.
    - Pre login into Capture One so you can get the serial number for the latest version (23) in this case

    Post Install.......
    - Re-apply your previously saved workspace and custom keyboard shortcuts. 
    - Re-open any and all previous catalogs you need regular access to. This will also perform the sometime time     intensive operation of upgrading your older session or Catalog. 

    I'm sure there were a few there puzzles, but thats a start.

    First Time Post,

     

    I have been using capture one as my go to Raw image editor but i use other programs as secondary options for things i can't achieve in Capture one. I recently had a great interaction with your support team and i had the opportunity to purchase your preorder promo. I upgraded to Captureone 22 several days ago, things seemed fine until i started to get corrupted images and noticing glitches and sync issues, with layers and previously made crops. I then updated to Captureone 23 hoping that would correct the issue. I have to report it did not, the bugs are still there, even if i create a new catalog or session, it still happens. It will even completely fail to display some images, showing only black.

    I sent a request, i know since the launch ya'll are very busy. This is my primary work horse and i have images and deadlines to meet. Please tell me there is a fix or something happening soon to address this?

    Hmmm. I posted a request to day 2022-11-16 concerning .MOV file import, but I seem not to be able to locate it on the Forum. Did I post it in a wrong place? Or what... I guess I placed it under Cap1-23 (Mac)

    Jack, could I ask why you open a new forum for each Version?  It makes it very difficult to engage in discussion on non-version specific topics.  I could understand it if the scope was actually customer support - but it isn't.

    Also, with the new product release strategy, it's going to get a but complicated, isn't it?

    David Mantripp It just makes it easier for people to get more targeted help. I understand where you're coming from and yes, it will most likely have to be reviewed. Something to consider for sure.

    2/ Comment envoyer plusieurs photos d'un coup vers Photoshop. Depuis la mise à jour (capture 23) je ne sais plus le faire?? Merci

    1. Even though you have checked that box, does Windows know that you want to associate .psd files with Photoshop? Perhaps you need to make sure that Windows associates .psd files with Photoshop 2023. Maybe it thinks they should be used with an earlier version?

    Hi Jack - I wrote and submitted 2 posts today that have not shown up on the forum, C1 23 on Mac. Posts were to the community, though I did also send a direct email to support about the issue. Do you know why my community posts are not showing up in the forum?

    Hi Nick Burchell there's nothing I can see on my end. If you're able to comment, then you should be able to post.

    Have you logged on to your account on the Capture One website? You should be able to see your licence code there.

    Hey Ian, if you look, you'll see my post was from 4 months ago.... As Alisson above says more directly, C1 support is an issue. Let me give you an example. I had an issue back before Christmas of 2022 where an entire session of image adjustments were written over. As the session contained images from a 2 week trip rafting the Grand Canyon, I hope you can imagine how many images that includes and how much time had gone into processing those files. I had numerous emails with support - that always took a week to get a reply from - but no one was ever able to tell me what the problem was, not even if it was user error, which I would have accepted and learned from, even after using C1 for close to a decade now. But no, the case was dropped and I essentially decided to move on with my life rather than engage in fruitless communication with a support desk that is clearly understaffed and lacking.

    Ian Wilson Meu problema nem foi isso somente, é que eu comprei, e me mandaram um serial habilitado na conta como trial, a dias tendo resolver, pedi cancelamento pela empresa do cartão já que passou 20 dias e nada da minha key e serviço funcionar, faz parte bola pra frente, e gratidão pela conversa e ajuda!

    If I want to warm up my pictures via the Kelvin slider (without using the Tint Slider) the Pictures are becoming Pink!

    Edited to add: also, it would probably be better to start a new thread in either Capture One 23 for Mac or Capture One 3 for Windows as the case may be to seek help with this issue.
