John sorry but you’re not reading. First didn’t mentioned crops but only about native dimensions of the file, then I’ve mentioned to change only the resolution and you didn’t.

BeO it's simple in Photoshop you change only the resolution in a simple step, in C1 no, according to the official notes it retains the native count of pixels.
