The A/V port doubles as a mini usb port.If you plug in your usb cable into that port you will be able to successfully tether to the newest version of C1.

One thing that wasn't specified is how many images are in your session by the afternoon. If you are creating sessions that have over say, 300 images in one 'capture' folder, C1 will definitely run...
