An ICC profile may include several interpretations for different rendering intents. Although not typically adopted for the type of output profiles considered here, it may be an issue for certain profiles. Therefore, Capture One will choose the colorimetric intent when a choice is required. Note that the distinction between relative and absolute colorimetric intents is dictated by the choice of chromatic adaptation.

Does that mean that Capture One is respecting the set rendering intent in the preferences, e.g. perceptual, if it can be applied to the profile, and Capture One has to choose if the preferred rendering intent cannot be applied, and then would choose one of the colorimetric intents? Which?
The whole section "LAB Readouts" contains bit and pieces but is mostly not very concrete, a user guide / best practise and concrete real-world use cases on color management in C1 would be very much appreciated.
