    Hi Lily
    I'm using C1 Express Fujifilm. I've bought a new Fujifilm lens - XF 16-80 mm f/4.
What about supporting this lens in C1 Express Fujifilm?

Same here, I have a Fujinon XF16-80mm F4 R OIS WR and I'm surprised that this lens is still not supported by Capture One yet. This lens came out in 2019. In September 2019 I believe, and to be precise.

I know because of COVID-19, we all have difficulties to work, and everything... but 10 months later, it's still not supported by Capture One? Hmmm ...

    Hi Lily,

Like others, I'd like request a profile for the Fuji 16-80 f4, but also back comments from other users expressing concerns about the process and timelines for new profiles. The 16-80 was released a year ago, but still doesn't have support in C1. And while it is frustrating to have to wait so long, the position you provided another user, "... we can't comment if or when support will be implemented for those lenses.", makes this frustration even more acute.

I'd strongly recommend C1 consider some sort of a forward roadmap that you can share with customers so they have some forward guidance of what to expect. Depending on a lottery where we don't know if or when a lens will be supported from a major camera manufacturer that associates with you and promotes your product (Fuji in this case) is really not a good advertisement for what is otherwise a fantastic product.

Just my two cents - and look forward to the 16-80 profile being released soon.

    Hi Marek,

    Thank you for the comment.

This lens profile FUJINON XF 16-80mm f/4 is not supported in Capture One product variant yet.

Thus, I will send this lens request to the Product Management team.

When are they going to arrive the corrections for the new RF lens, like the RF 24-70 f2.8?

  • Hans-Joachim Guhr

    I need correction support for the Canon RF 15-35 f2.8, RF 24-70 f2.8, RF 70-200 f2.8 and RF 85 f1.2 ! since more than 6 months I asked !  :-(

I would love to see the Sigma 14-24mm f2.8 ART added, preferably for the Nikon F mount.  Thank you.

@christian schmid i am trying DXO photo lab now - 31 days trial period should tell me if it is worth switching.
maybe its worth to start YT campaign for better support - maybe C1 will listen.

    Hi Lily,
any plans on adding support for newer RF lenses in the near future?

I recently got a RF24-240mm F4-6.3 but considering the zoom range, the lens had to have some limits, one of them being heavy distortion which makes image unusable without lens correction software. I know I can adjust it by hand, but it's tedious and I'm not as precise as a piece of software is.

Other lenses that aren't supported (I probably missed some):

    RF 85mm F1.2
    RF 15-35MM F2.8
    RF 24-70MM F2.8
    RF 70-200mm F2.8

How long does it usually take to add support for a (Canon RF) lens once it comes out?

Canon is the largest camera company in the world.  They are moving away from their DLSR cameras to mirrorless which use RF lenses.

Here's the list of RF lenses with profiles in Capture One:

    RF 50mm f/1.2L USM
    RF 35mm f/1.8 MACRO
    RF 24-105mm f/4 IS USM
    RF 28-70mm f/2 L USM
    RF 15-35mm F2.8L IS USM

Here's the same list for Adobe Lightroom:

Canon RF 24-240mm F4-6.3 IS USM
    Canon RF 28-70mm F2 L USM
Canon RF 35mm F1.8 MACRO IS STM
    Canon RF 50mm F1.2 L USM
    Canon RF 85mm F1.2 L USM
    Canon RF 15-35mm f/2.8 L IS USM
    Canon RF 24-70mm f/2.8 L IS USM
Canon RF 24-105mm F4-7.1 IS STM
    Canon RF 70-200mm F2.8 L IS USM
    Canon RF 85mm F1.2 L USM DS
Canon RF 85mm F2 MACRO IS STM
    Canon RF 100-500mm F4.5-7.1 L IS USM
    Canon RF 100-500mm F4.5-7.1 L IS USM + EXTENDER RF1.4x
    Canon RF 100-500mm F4.5-7.1 L IS USM + EXTENDER RF2x
Canon RF 600mm F11 IS STM
    Canon RF 600mm F11 IS STM + EXTENDER RF1.4x
    Canon RF 600mm F11 IS STM + EXTENDER RF2x
Canon RF 800mm F11 IS STM
    Canon RF 800mm F11 IS STM + EXTENDER RF1.4x
    Canon RF 800mm F11 IS STM + EXTENDER RF2x

You can post here requesting lens support until the cows come home and Capture One will tell you nothing.  No idea if they'll add support or when they will do it.

Wonderful software, dreadful lens support with horrible customer service.

Please add support of Viltrox lens profiles (24/50/85). These are budget glasses, however they have good value for money. Viltrox prepared profiles for Lightroom. And for sure they can help to prepare similar thing for C1.

Also it would be great if Capture One have possibilities to import profiles prepared for Lightroom. Then users can add new lens support much faster (they don’t have to wait for new C1 version with new lenses profiles).

    Hi Lily,

thanks for taking the request into consideration.

I hope it won't take nearly this long for future released lenses, I understand if it takes around a month after lens release to have their profiles implemented, that's ok, but several months, almost a year is way too long. We're not even talking about some obscure lens model by some obscure manufacturer, we're talking about a major manufacturer. I love Capture One, I gladly paid for it, but if it continues to take this long to get the RF glass support, I'll start thinking about competitors.

Hi Lily - thanks for taking the time to hear out everyone's requests. I have two lenses I'd love to see C1 support:

    • Canon EF 35mm f/2 IS USM
    • Canon EF-S 55-250mm f/4-5.6 IS STM

Thanks for your + the PM team's consideration,

Could you please add profile support for Nikon full frame lens: AF-S NIKKOR 18-35mm f/3.5-4.5G ED. It is my main (only) wide angle lens below 24mm and it would be great to have it supported in the software.

    Would you add:

    NIKON

    ========

AF-S NIKKOR 120-300mm f/2.8E FL ED SR VR
    AF-S NIKKOR 28mm f/1.4E ED

    SONY

    =========

    FE 12–24 mm F2.8 GM (SEL1224GM)

From the comment on another article:

When will support the RF lens 15-35,  24-70, 70-200?

    2
  • Norinao Wakiya

RF lens profile looks no update during long term on C1. 14.1 also.
Is this political issue or technical issue?

Adobe Lightroom already supported in the following profiles (2020.Dec):

Canon RF 35mm F1.8 MACRO IS STM
    Canon RF 50mm F1.2 L USM
    Canon RF 85mm F1.2 L USM
    Canon RF 85mm F1.2 L USM DS
Canon RF 85mm F2 MACRO IS STM
    Canon RF 15-35mm f/2.8 L IS USM
    Canon RF 24-70mm f/2.8 L IS USM
Canon RF 24-105mm F4L IS USM
Canon RF 24-105mm F4-7.1 IS STM
Canon RF 24-240mm F4-6.3 IS USM
    Canon RF 28-70mm F2 L USM
    Canon RF 70-200mm F2.8 L IS USM
    Canon RF 100-500mm F4.5-7.1 L IS USM
    Canon RF 100-500mm F4.5-7.1 L IS USM + EXTENDER RF1.4x
    Canon RF 100-500mm F4.5-7.1 L IS USM + EXTENDER RF2x
Canon RF 600mm F11 IS STM
    Canon RF 600mm F11 IS STM + EXTENDER RF1.4x
    Canon RF 600mm F11 IS STM + EXTENDER RF2x
Canon RF 800mm F11 IS STM
    Canon RF 800mm F11 IS STM + EXTENDER RF1.4x
    Canon RF 800mm F11 IS STM + EXTENDER RF2x

Hopefully, RF lens profile will be add into C1 in the near future.

    Hi,

I assume that Capture One is a professional software. You charge no that small amount of money for it so I think you should provide professional support for stuff that photographers use.

These lenses are on the market for quite a long time and still are not officially supported by C1
    - RF 24-70/2.8
    - RF 70-200/2.8
    - RF 50/1.8
    - RF 35/1.8
    - RF 400/2.8
    - RF 600/4

    basically all new RF lenses

As well as well known Sigma 60-600.

Basically Canon lenses are getting more popular day by day and lack of support is not very... pro from your side.

If you don't have enough manpower to do these profiles maybe you should consider hiring new employees ?:)

Can you tell me if these lenses are on your roadmap and if they are - when they will be officially supported by Capture One. And please don't write me back - that you will talk with some product owners... Give me (us) clear answer.

I am seriously considering to go back to lightroom just because of lack of lens correction profiles, your software is AWESOME and I love it, but out of all the lenses I own many of them don't have a correction profile, witch in a fast workflow is a big issue! Tamron SP 15-30 f2.8 nikon f mount still missing and is a very popular lens also is supported in ef mount weirdly enough, Sigma 24-70 f2.8 E mount still missing and again very popular lens Fuji 16-80 f4 super popular lens still missing and on and on this way. You guys better get some profiles out there in order to keep people from going away! They are kind of key for professionals in my humble opinion

Despite its many strengths, Capture One is not software a Canon RF user can rely on. I've invested a ton of time learning Capture One. But it's time to move on.

Canon is the largest camera manufacturer in the world. Their RF cameras and lenses are the future of the company.
Yet, 3 years after the RF systems was introduced, here is the list of lenses that Capture One supports:

    Capture One RF Support
    ======================
    RF 50mm f/1.2L USM
    RF 35mm f/1.8 MACRO
    RF 24-105mm f/4 IS USM
    RF 28-70mm f/2 L USM
    RF 15-35mm F2.8L IS USM

Here's the list that Adobe supports:
    ====================================
Canon RF 24-240mm F4-6.3 IS USM
    Canon RF 28-70mm F2 L USM
Canon RF 35mm F1.8 MACRO IS STM
    Canon RF 50mm F1.2 L USM
    Canon RF 85mm F1.2 L USM
    Canon RF 15-35mm f/2.8 L IS USM
    Canon RF 24-70mm f/2.8 L IS USM
Canon RF 24-105mm F4L IS USM
Canon RF 24-105mm F4-7.1 IS STM
    Canon RF 70-200mm F2.8 L IS USM
    Canon RF 85mm F1.2 L USM DS
Canon RF 85mm F2 MACRO IS STM
    Canon RF 100-500mm F4.5-7.1 L IS USM
    Canon RF 100-500mm F4.5-7.1 L IS USM + EXTENDER RF1.4x
    Canon RF 100-500mm F4.5-7.1 L IS USM + EXTENDER RF2x
Canon RF 400mm F2.8L IS USM
Canon RF 600mm F4L IS USM
Canon RF 600mm F11 IS STM
    Canon RF 600mm F11 IS STM + EXTENDER RF1.4x
    Canon RF 600mm F11 IS STM + EXTENDER RF2x
Canon RF 800mm F11 IS STM
    Canon RF 800mm F11 IS STM + EXTENDER RF1.4x
    Canon RF 800mm F11 IS STM + EXTENDER RF2x

Many modern lenses require substantial digital correction of RAW files as there is significant and obvious distortion in the unprocessed RAW file. The Camera does this processing internally when you save JPEG Files. Most Raw Converters provide lens profiles that automatically do the same processing for Raw files. Capture One does this only for a few RF lenses.

Some of these lenses have been out for years. The RF 24-240, which has significant distortion requiring a lens profile was released in 2019. Similar issues with the 15-35 f/2.8L. Canon just released 14-35 f/4 L ISM which will have the same issues.

Constant requests from users get no response from Capture One. You have no idea when or if they will ever produce a profile for the lens you asked about. That's horrible customer service when you are a professional whose income depends on the ability to produce quality output. It shows a total disregard for the needs of their user base.

Capture One is supposedly a top-notch Raw Converter. For me it is not. Who cares about Capture One's great features if you can't process the Raw photos out of your camera for the majority of your lenses. I'm forced to shoot jpeg or use other RAW conversion software. Yet I have no idea if Capture one will ever support the RF lens lineup. Lots of unfulfilled promises. Why???

Adding lens profile support for the Tamron 28-75mm f/2.8 Di III VXD G2 (announced 2021-08) would be appreciated (unless it's identical to the already supported (now discontinued lens) Tamron 28-75mm F2.8 Di III RXD.  Please let me know if it is identical though.   Also support for the Samyang Optics / Rokinon AF 24-70mm f/2.8 FE (announced 2021-10) would be appreciated also.  All are for the Sony E mount.  Thank you.

Adding lens profile support for the Tamron 17-28mm f/2.8 Di III RXD would be appreciated.   Also support for the Sigma 14-24mm f/2.8 DG DN Art would be appreciated also. Also, the Samyang/Rokinon AF 35mm f/1.4 FE (announced 2017-10).   All are for the full-frame Sony E mount.  Thank you.

The lack of lens support for mainstream lenses is perhaps the weakest part of Capture One compared to competing products. C1 is great at updating to support new cameras, for example Canon R5, but matters little if the RF lenses are not supported as well.

    Hello,

please add support for the following Fujifilm X-mount lenses:

    Viltrox 13/1.4

    Hello.

Is it possible to known when the Sony E 11 mm F1.8 will be supported?

Also, I see that none of the Samyang/Rokinon lenses are supported. I suppose this is not by chance, but a deliberate choice. Can you confirm?

    Thanks.
