Capture One 21 freezing MAC force restart required

My MAC OS was recently updated to 13.2.1. I am running a perpetual Capture One 21. When using Capture one (tethered with Sony Camera) on a shoot today the program kept freezing my MAC. The mouse could move but it could not select or click on anything. Force restarting was my only option which was required every few minutes after restarting the program & computer. 

When restarting I received the following message from Apple each time:

System Extension Error 

An error occurred with your system extensions during startup and they need to be rebuilt before they can be used. Go to Privacy & Security System Settings to re-enable them.

Following these directions along with Apple tech support lead to no option to actually "re-enable them" Apple didn't know what to do either. 

I paid nearly $400 for this application and I don't want to upgrade. Has anyone else experienced this? Could the problem be that Capture ONE 21 is not compatible with the OS update to 13.2.1
