Crop Problems
Why can I not change from one crop ratio to another without restarting the program. Very frustrating when I need to do a 16 X 9 crop and then a 3 x4 crop on several images.

Right clicking on the Crop icon in the tool bar allows me to change the aspect ratio without restarting the C1 application (Ventura 13.2.1 and C1 15.4.3.4). What version of C1 and macOS are you using? Does an error appear when you attempt to adjust the aspect ratio?

Or when you have the crop tool in use just right click anywhere in the image to bring up this where you can change the crop ratio.

Thanks for the info. This Mac Pro is on Mojave Capture One V 22. The problem is that after cropping a image say to 16X9. If I want to then change to crop the next image at 3 X 4 the ratio stays at 16 X 9 ( little check mark) and will not change to any other setting until I quit and restart C1.
I have C1 version 23 on a Mac Studio and it works fine. I'll be moving most photo editing to that Mac in the future so it's not that much of a problem.
Anyways thanks for your help
cheers

Ah, I had not understood what you meant before. What you are describing depends on a setting in Preferences. If you have the setting shown on Use global aspect ratio, then by default when you move from your image with 16x9, the same 16x9 will be selected when you go to the next image. (You should still be able to change it as I suggested, though.) But if you change the preference to Use Variant Aspect Ratio, then instead of remembering what the other image ratio was, it should remember the current ratio for the new image you select. (And again you can change it if you want something else.)

Ah - in that case, I suspect you are not on the latest version of Capture One 22. Release 15.3.0 changed the crop behaviour to what you are experiencing. But it was not universally popular and in a service release, 15.3.1, they introduced the options that I showed you. It's a free update, of course as it's just a service release. In fact the latest release of Capture One 22 was 15.4.3 - I'm not sure with the new arrangements for licensing whether that is still a free update, but no doubt you could check on your account on Capture One's website. At any rate, you should be able to get 15..3.1 free.
