Editing Auto-Fill Terms
Suggestion:
Please provide a way to edit auto-fill terms.
Right now I have some misspelled and incorrect terms that I want to delete.
What problem do you see this solving?
This will enhance the user experience
When was the last time you were affected by this lack of functionality, or specific tool?
Almost every time I use Capture One.
Are you using any workarounds or other solutions to achieve your goals in Capture One?
No
Are you happy to be contacted further about this suggestion or request?
Yes. I consider our relationship to be a partnership. Your success is my success.

On Mac you can do this by editing this file in a text editor: ~/Library/Preferences/com.captureone.captureone16.plist
Auto-fill terms can be found below these lines:
<key>content_category_METADATA_COMPLETIONS</key><key>content_description_METADATA_COMPLETIONS</key>
Etc.You simply delete the lines in question, e.g. "<string>auto-fill term</string>", and save the file.
I don't know how this works on Windows, but presumably there's a similar way of doing it.
It would be easier, though, if there was a way of doing this inside Capture One.

Thank you for this suggestion. I've saved your idea and will explore acting on it.
For info, I've been using computers since 1965. I've written software for computers and workstations. I've managed software development projects.
And I think Good Software makes work easy for users. It provides simple ways to perform basic tasks and maintenance.
So I don't want to dig around at a system level, even though I could do that.
I was told to post suggestions here so that Capture One staff could read them.
Is anyone at Capture One reading these suggestions?

Update: I just spent 15 minutes trying to find ~/Library/Preferences/com.captureone.captureone16.plist
And I'm unable to find this on my Mac.
So once again, GOOD SOFTWARE makes work easy for users.
Nobody should have to work at a system level to perform basic operations.

Perhaps you know already, but just for clarification, the full file path is this:
/Users/[user name]/Library/Preferences/com.captureone.captureone16.plist
And the name of the .plist file is for the Capture One 23.

Thanks, I found it.

Caution: Before you attempt to edit the plist file, please know that it is a huge file. And one typo error could ruin it.
The ability to edit Auto-Fill Lists and other similar info needs to be part of the software.
I hope somebody at Capture One sees this.
Thanks.

Yes, it's always a good idea to save a copy elsewhere before editing.
