What problem do you see this solving?
The drop downs for Edit with and open with pick up all sorts of applications (most of which are not image editing) with no means of editing the list. I don't want to see all my CAD and Design software in these lists. I want to be able to control what appears here for example to cull older versions of Affinity Photo or DXO NIK tools.

When was the last time you were affected by this lack of functionality, or specific tool?
All the time

Are you using any workarounds or other solutions to achieve your goals in Capture One?
This problem makes working with multiple image editors tedious.

    Goto Preferences/Plugins and disable the unwanted apps.
