Issue with Capture One 22.x Software on my 17.3-inch Laptop
Hey everyone,
I hope you're all doing well. I recently encountered a problem with Capture One 22.x software on my 17.3-inch laptop, and I was wondering if anyone else has experienced something similar. I figured starting a forum thread here might help me find a solution or at least shed some light on the issue.
Here's what's happening: Whenever I launch Capture One 22.x on my laptop, the program runs very slowly and occasionally freezes. This lag makes it incredibly frustrating to edit photos efficiently, especially when working on larger projects. I've noticed that this problem occurs specifically with this version of the software on my laptop, as I haven't encountered similar issues on other devices.
To provide some context, my laptop meets the recommended system requirements for Capture One 22.x. It has an Intel Core i7 processor, 16GB of RAM, and a dedicated NVIDIA graphics card. All other applications, including resource-intensive ones, run smoothly without any performance issues. I've also made sure to keep my operating system and drivers up to date.
To troubleshoot, I've tried a few things, but unfortunately, nothing has worked so far. Here's what I've attempted:
Reinstalling Capture One: I uninstalled the software and reinstalled it from scratch, but the problem persists.
Adjusting performance settings: I've tinkered with the performance settings within Capture One, including reducing the preview quality and adjusting the cache settings. However, none of these changes have made a noticeable difference in the program's performance.
Running Capture One in compatibility mode: I tried running the software in compatibility mode for previous versions of Windows, but that didn't solve the issue either.
I'm a bit stumped at this point, and I would greatly appreciate any suggestions or insights from fellow users who may have experienced a similar problem. Perhaps there's a specific configuration or setting that I've overlooked, or maybe there's a workaround that could improve the performance on my laptop.
If you've encountered a similar issue with Capture One 22.x on your 17.3 inch laptop or if you have any suggestions on how to address this problem, please share your thoughts and experiences in this thread. Your input would be incredibly valuable, and together, we might be able to find a solution.
Thank you in advance for your help!
Best regards,

Hi Tammy, have you tried updating the Nvidia drivers with the latest STUDIO version? (not the game ready version)
