Retaining folder names when importing
I have my pictures stored on the hard drive in a file structure by camera, date, and description. Is there anyway to import the files from one camera and retain the file/folder structure and names of all the subfolders without doing it manually. That may be hard to understand so let me give an example Folder: Sony A7RII>2022(sub folder)>Date + description(subfolders for the year 2022). If I import Sony A7RII and all subfolders, all images are loaded by sequence but they are not divided into any subfolders. Now you may argue this is a terrible way to organize but it would be nice when I imported these, they would be subdivided into each folder. This may not be possible directly. Suppose I use another program like Photos on Mac which would subdivide them when imported and then imported from that program into C1 Pro, would that be a work around if there is no direct way to do it. Sorry, I think Covid blanked my brain. Having done so little photography the last 3 years I have been away for too long. I forgot you can access the individual folders by going to the folders on the stored drive. Hello brain. I just downloaded C1 23 and had a brain freeze before importing my images.
