Capture One 22 on Ventura 13.4
Hi, will CO 22 run on Ventura 13.4 since it´s a minor update ?

Updated old mac month ago, which was running C1 12 (hold the laughs lol), to macbook pro w/ Ventura 13.4.1. When bought key (needed to tether for couple of clients), key came w/ C1 22, which will not open up on new laptop either. Submitted request to C1 tech dept.
Thought new laptop, with 'new' C1 22, should open no problem - not so much. If any suggestions how to get to work... greatly appreciated. The C1 12 functioning, so covered for 3 day shoot next week for architect need to tether for. But like to upgrade C1 obviously! Thanks.

Is there a reason you were sold C1 22 instead of C1 23?
Are you using an M1 or M2 MacBook Pro? I'm running an M1 MacBook Pro so I can't speak for the compatibility of C1 22 with M2 MacBook Pros. Perhaps that is an issue?
Did you migrate all of your old settings, preferences from your old machine to your new MacBook Pro or install everything from scratch on your new laptop? I wouldn't expect migration of settings to affect the running of C1 but I've grown accustomed to flaky C1 behaviour with newer machines so I wouldn't count it out.

Bought C1 in Feb of 2022 so assume that was version available at the time. New laptop is an M1 MacBook pro. Migrated everything over, but was running C1 v12 as never upgraded OS on old laptop - so wouldn't lose photoshop (no idea where key is; lost now, but on old laptop when need). Watched editing class on C1 editing and when don't need layers will use C1 once sort it out.
When open v.22 see window for split second then won't open & error message. C1 v.23 get message can't update w/ key currently have. Hmmm....

It sounds as though you have downloaded v.23 and you are trying to open it with the key you got when you bought v.22. Have you scrolled down the download page to find earlier versions, specifically v.22?

Hi,
Yes. Have v22 which got when purchased key - in anticipation of updating laptop. Tried v22 but crashes and won't initiate. So then download v.23 thinking that would work. Entered key but wouldn't accept it. Seems like other than for V12, I paid for useless key at this point. Looked and no response from C1 to request for help/support. Fortunately you all are kind enough to provide insight. Suggestions???....

It says here
that the latest version of Capture One 22 (build 15.4.3) supports Ventura 13.0. There's no guarantee that it works with later releases of Ventura, though it's possible that it might. And also you would need to be sure that you were on the very latest 15.4.3 release of Capture One 22.
Is it possible that this is the issue?

You are a rockstar! (& I cut my teeth working with a bunch of them lol.). The C1 v.22 15.4.3 release worked. Opened right up and fully functional! Whatever version of v.22 downloaded when originally purchased wouldn't open / operate. So I'm good to go. Have a great day/night, Friday, weekend, and if in US, fab 4th. Cheers.
