Imac 24" M1 chip with only 8 gig RAM
Just wondering if anybody knows if iMac 24" M1 chip machine can comfortably run Capture 1 23. I recently bought this machine new, but the turkeys at the shop did not tell Me you are unable to upgrade the RAM in this machine. We have no returns in Australia, so I am stuck with the machine. Before I pay for Capture 1 23, can somebody tell me if this machine on 8gig of Ram, will be able to support C1 23. It says on their support material that the minimal requirement is 16 gig? Thanks Philip

I'm running C1-23 on a 2020 MacBook Air M1 with 8Gb RAM.
My photos are approx 50Mb RAW files and I'm storing them on an external hard-drive.
Previews can be a little sluggish when first importing the files, though this is not helped by my rather slow external hard-drive. I only perform basic editing on my photos, exposure, contrast and cropping, so I am not sure how it will handle extensive use of masks, layers etc.
My advice would be to try the free demo for a while to make sure it is suitable for your purposes.

Thanks for taking the time to reply LVS. Yes - I downloaded the copy of C1 23 and it seems to be working OK at the moment. The crunch will be I have another wedding in two weeks, so this will be the acid test. I must say it is much better than my C1 21. I can now batch them as I download them and can even adjust the percentage of how strongly they will be alike. The big one I love is you can have an intelligent preset that will go through all the selected images and apply a similar look whilst keeping all the layers. This will save me so much time. Philip
