Hello! Ekkehard Schwartz thanks for the suggestion :) Can you share how you are using the iPad app currently? and why editing with the iPad is important for you (save time from working on computer? convenience? faster time to delivery? something else?)

Jeremy Henderson nice to see you here :) feel free to answer the same questions as Ekkehard if you feel like it :)

    Hi Evi :-).

    1. Curves and levels are one of the most essential tools for managing the tones of the image. I use them all the time on the desktop app, sometimes a number of times (on different layers, and with different masks). Without them you can't see the potential of the image (in the field) or edit it properly (back in your hotel room, or home)

    2. I'm affected by it every time I consider subscribing to CaptureOne Mobile :-). And decide not to as it (stil)l doesn't meet my needs.

    3. My workaround is to use another software. Not ideal as I like CaptureOne and I have a lot of investment (time and money) in CaptureOne and I'd prefer to not see it go to waste !!

    4. Very happy to discuss further :-)

    Hi Evi,

My comments are very similar to Jeremy's:

    1. I use curves and tools for almost all editing I do in the desktop app, both for color and black&white images. Without these tools in Capture One Mobile I often won't get even close to the final edit which forces me to do most of the editing in Capture One Pro, even for "simpler" editing needs. I find it easy to carry my iPad Pro alongside with my camera, and I like the existing integration of Capture One Mobile with the Apple Photos app. I really appreciate the convenience and speed of a mobile workflow, - although it certainly is not for all editing needs it can deliver decent images in many cases, and -maybe even more important - the ability to explore the potential of the image while still being on site.

    2. Almost every day as I process many images in a mobile workflow.

    3. Workaround is either to do the final editing in Capture One Pro (and yes, I would prefer a decent cloud solution for that) or another mobile application.

    Hi everyone,

I would like to join the request!

I use curves for every single photo I process in Capture One Pro for desktop.

I would like to fully switch to the Mobile version, which I actually subscribed to few month ago, and I do hope that Phase one will add this functionality rather soon.

    Best regards,

    Volodymyr.

Please! Curves is the only thing keeping me from using the app.

Very frustrating to edit without the option. Only dependent on presets.

    -Thanks!

The same goes for Levels, I use them for setting white and black points on every single photo!

    Best regards,

    Volodymyr

Hello everyone and thank you all for your feedback :) It's super helpful. Let me add a follow up question:

    - what type of photography are you into?

-when and why is it important for you to do the editing (at least the more advanced editing) on iPad and iPhone?

    Hi Evi,

thanks a lot for the reply!

I'm mostly into travel photography and my goal is to completely move to the mobile version of the Capture One (I'm using it on the iPad Pro M1).

I'm not expecting Mobile version to have all the functionality of the desktop version, at least for now, but to be able to do more or less thorough editing on the go I really need Levels as it's the first thing I check when I edit my photographs on desktop.

The second and the third things are Curves and Spot Removal, but I can manage without them for some time.

    Best regard,

    Volodymyr

Wanted to add a note that I too find the lack of the levels tool limiting.  My standard flow uses this to set black and white points and in CaptureOne Pro for desktop it is my go-to adjustment.  I think the interface could be quite simpler than the full-blown version and still be useful.  Don't really need the secondary histogram, just a dial to set the levels.   Making it work in auto-mode like on the desktop would be great too.

Even without this, being able to use the iPad for my first round of cull, crop, rotate, etc is a game changer!  Makes me so much more productive since I can do it anywhere!   But for me the very next step in getting the lighting right, I find levels the most useful tool. So I have to stop there and transfer to desktop mode.

Thanks, and I really hope you find a way to add a levels tool.

    Bill

Evi K How high on the list are levels / curves for the next updates? What about masks? Thank you.
