Why is it? I can only import my Sony files, but cannot import my old Canon files.

I have the newest version of Capture One installed on my computer. I have always been able to import Sony files. I just recently decided to import some Canon files, and for some reason the software does not see the Canaan raw file. Do I need to buy another version of Capture One? I am currently using Capture One 23.
