Make catalogues show the images

What problem do you see this solving?
I open a catalog and there are NO images in it. It refuses to import them again. So the complexity of the Capture One fatal;og design works against users. 

I am working on some images recently taken. Network update forced me to reboot. Look - no images in the catalog. Doesn't happen with other catalog systems - just capture one 

When was the last time you were affected by this lack of functionality, or specific tool?
Are you using any workarounds or other solutions to achieve your goals in Capture One?
