Nikon D750 will not tether in capture one on new macbook pro m2

Hi, I am hoping someone has a solution for me. I have a brand new 16" Macbook Pro with M2 Pro chip running Mac OS Ventura 13.4.1. My D750 is on the newest Firmware 1.15. Cable is a tether tools USB-C to 2.0 Mini-B 8-Pin.

Tethering works just fine on my PC, but everytime I try to tether using the macbook, Capture One just says camera not detected and the green light on the back of my camera flashes really fast.

Does anyone have any ideas why this is happening, or how to get the tethering to work?

I am hoping to not have to go the camranger route, as I don't tether enough to warrant that expense, but I do need to tether on occasion.
