    It seems like you're experiencing issues with tethering a Nikon Z9 camera to an iMac Pro, specifically related to image corruption. Tethering involves connecting a camera for dm design to a computer to directly transfer and sometimes control image capture. Image corruption issues can be caused by various factors. Here are some troubleshooting steps you can take:

    USB Cable and Connection:

    Ensure you're using a high-quality USB cable that is compatible with your camera and computer.
    Try using a different USB port on your iMac Pro.
    Make sure the USB connection is secure on both ends.
    Software Compatibility:

    Confirm that you're using the latest version of Nikon's tethering software, or any third-party software you might be using for tethering.
    Check if there are any software updates available for your iMac Pro's operating system.

    As stated in original comment;

    This isn't my first time tethering Z9's (I have two) to the iMac Pro. There wasn't an issue with a 3 day shoot on the first sessions. New cameras, new TetherTools usb cables and I was using the trial version of Capture One for that. This time, second shoot, the only thing different was that I purchased the Capture One software and downloaded it before the shoot and I just bought the new 85mm F1.2. Everything of mine stays updated. Nikon sends me an email when a firmware for lens or camera that I have registered with Nikon. Capture One was updated. I don't use anything third party software. My digital tech had me do so many things from being online all day during the shoot trying to resolve it. From pulling my CF cards, new sessions, deleting other sessions, etc. We used multiple USB connections on the computer, we used different cables, switched between two cameras. I'm usually a PhaseOne shooter but had to surrender that during the pandemic. At first it seemed to be camera disconnecting, I could watch the icons in the camera go in and out with no movement w camera. I use a tetherblock as well to lock the cable down. I'm 56 so used to the old ports always being a problem. I'm used to old micro drives being the weak point. Since the D3s, the Nikons have always rocked.

    The only thing I can see is that there was an update in Capture One dealing with the 85mm F1.2 which was the new lens I used this time primarily. I haven't setup a session to do a test yet but plan on it soon.

    Thanks for your input though.

    Is this an AI response? Everything you have mentioned was addressed in original post. Multiple new Tether Tools USB cables, Multiple Z9's, Multiple ports, All software up to date, etc. I even had a digital tech on site. Cards in, cards out, settings checked/changed, new sessions, etc. There's been updates to lenses, Z9's and CaptureOne since my post. As I expected though, "contact Nikon...reach out to Apple.." Passing the blame.
