16.2.2 slows down, is laggy and ultimately renders the system unusable

I have seen other posts regarding this issue with seemingly no resolve. If I choose an image and perform auto adjustments on it ultimately the system will become unusable. I can easily provoke te failure for example by using the levels tool, auto level, then reset. Repeat 4 or 5 times and then the whole system become laggy. If I can stay in C1 and choose another image the system is fine. Getting really annoying now. The PC is fine, I have made sure everything is in good shape, it comes down to C1. I have tried a reinstall which has made no difference.

    As a test I created a new catalogue and imported the contents of the catalogue in, seems to have fixed the issue despite when doing a check on catalogue everything was reported as OK. Most strange but happy C1 is working again.
