Crop tool not working.

I have an image to crop.  I set the crop tool to "Unconstrained".  When I try to change the crop, nothing happens.

Further, if I change the crop from "Original" to "1x1", nothing happens.  It goes to "1x1" when exiting the crop tool, but goes back to the original disallowing me to change the crop while viewing it in the "1x1" setting.

    Is the zoom setting at room-to-fit? I've thought before now that the crop tool wasn't working and discovered that it was because I was zoomed in and couldn't see the edges of the image.

    And what happens if you try to drag out a crop in the middle of the image you can see? Hold shift while you drag a small rectangle - what happens?

    Perhaps you could show us a screenshot.
