    How I would expect it to work is

    • launch your new version of Capture One.
    • go to File>Open and navigate to your catalog on the SSD, and select it.
    • Capture One should tell you that the catalog was created with an earlier version of Capture One and needs to be updated. Let Capture One update it - it will create a backup in old format,

    (Though when you say that it was years ago - how many? Which version of Capture One? Maybe if it's REALLY old it can't do that?)

    Thanks so much Ian. I was able to go in and upgrade my version of Capture one to the current version I have capture one 23 I can now open my catalog within my SsD drive. So relieved. Again thanks
