Synchronizing Heal layer across variants of the same image
What problem do you see this solving?
When working on different variants of the same image, I frequently change something on a layer on a variant, especialy an heal layer. Then I want to replicate the modification to the other variants. I need to copy the heal layer and apply it on the other variant. Then I need to delete the old layer because otherwise I might end up with 5 or 10 heal layers doing mostly the same corrections.
A possible implementation would be to declare a new layer as a synchronized layer (or unsynchronized). If so, the layer is constantly synchronized between all variant of a single image.
It might be interresting (nice to have) to be able to stop synchronization manualy. If I delete a synchronized layer, I should have the opportunity to delete it for this variant (unsynchronizing it and delete it) or for all the other ones.
When was the last time you were affected by this lack of functionality, or specific tool?
I'm affected by this lack of functionality everytime I work on a Capture One session. It is time consuming. Rougly 5% of my time is dedicated to synchronizing variant heal layers.
Are you using any workarounds or other solutions to achieve your goals in Capture One?
Manual synchronisation using copy and apply.
Are you happy to be contacted further about this suggestion or request?
Yes!
