Workflow improvements.Pedro Arrechea
What problem do you see this solving?
No a problem but improvements....
1)- On long editing jobs, sometimes you have to exit Capture One. Once you return suggest the program "remembers" the last photo you worked on so that you don't have to search all over. This should reduce the work time overall.
2)- When you make a "variant" of a photo it is usually because you want something different than the original edited copy. ei crop, adjustment etc. During export Capture One will only export the new variant and not the original. Suggest you export as COPY OF .... In the case of Capture One you need to rename the variant in order to save both versions. This should prevent or eliminate having to go back and redo things.
3)- Please, please, please make your watermark automatically adjust its size relative to the crop of the photo.
4)- This could be something that is already there but I haven't discovered yet but I am going to add it anyway, Allow or add a "Reject" rating. In long jobs, I normally do a quick check and reject photos that are not up-to-par. This not only makes working faster but helps reduce the load on the program as the rejected photos are deleted. Also, in Capture One, once you rated a photo, there is no way (that I know) to unrated. Currently I am using one star for rejected photos and 5 for keepers and exports but still not as practical as having a specific reject selection.
When was the last time you were affected by this lack of functionality, or specific tool?.
Today did two variant and had to go back and rename to be able to export both version,
Are you using any workarounds or other solutions to achieve your goals in Capture One?
.Yes, using single star for rejected photos. And individually adjusting the watermarks on important jobs. Renaming variants by a different name.
Are you happy to be contacted further about this suggestion or request?
Yes....
