If you buy a camera newer than your OS versions, "problems may occur" to quote support reply from somewhere else. I've been through this a couple of times. In short, backwards compatible app versions, even if they are working in a lot of cases, usually only get tested by their users. I'm not telling you to update to the newest, I think you have your reasons to remain on older versions. I'm just preparing you for a possible reply of C1 support, which you should get in this link. Or top right in this view, "Request support", just don't expect neither speed nor magic.

The list of compatible cameras contains your X-T5. So it probably will boil down to "update to a new version of Mac OS".

David Jefferis I can tell you with certainty that Capture One on Ventura and Sonoma does work with X-T5 files.  I believe the issue with your older OS computers is, in fact, the OS.  So the answer is to upgrade to the new OS.  Unless you're having some hardware incompatibility issues such as sunsetting, Ventura is solid and likely more secure than your older OS.  Sonoma looks good so far but it and I are still on the honeymoon.

You might try something.  If you're shooting using the Lossless Compressed RAW format, switch to uncompressed.  File sizes will be a larger but even the latest OS doesn't like Fuji's lossless compressed format and will not display the images.  Capture One will process them without issue once imported but the OS won't display a thumbnail and gives some error message when attempting to open the files in preview.
