Number keys on laptop no longer rate photo's

So, I've concluded that the number keys on my laptop suddenly dont rate any photos anymore. I usually use a separate keyboard, and there, it still works just fine on the dedicated numpad. The top row of numbers on my laptop itself however seem to have lost this function.

I'm sure it used to work, because I even changed my workflow to numbers because it was easier to work with on the go than my previous selection method.

Anyone else having this issue? And/or care to test this for me on their device? It's really a thorn in my side for my on the road workflow.

I've recently updated from c1 22 to 23, which is probably the culprit. It was working before, and I havent updated from ventura to sonoma yet.

Running a 14 inch M1 MAX. On ventura 13.5.1 (22G90)

    maybe your keys are set to fn (function like brightness, sound and i.e. dashboard) instead of their respective nummerical setting?

    oo I had the same problem - didn't know the fn key even did this. Thank you!
