Tethering Issue on Sonoma
I have a Fuji camera X-S20 and am using the free tethering (essentially hot folder enabled).
When I take a photo, I get a "File not found" in Capture one. It's because when I take a photo, it gets imported onto the computer without a file extension (aka FileName.____) and a few seconds later, it will change the extension to the appropriate image file format. Because of this, every tethered shot will cause Capture One to think there's an issue with the file. If I skip the error, the appropriate image will show in Capture One. Because of the timing of things, Capture One will show the error every single time.
How do I fix this?

Is the folder you’re shooting to backed up to iCloud? If so, try a folder that isn’t.

Unrelated to iCloud as user account is not using iCloud. I do have Mac user account that is using iCloud but nothing in relation to files and folders.

I just did a tethered shot this week with my MacBook on Sonoma using a XT5, without any issues. So I think this is not a general problem. I wonder why you wrote "File comes without extension" - when I tether, the extension for the image is there right from the start. Is this something you can configure in the X-S20 (I just looked at my XT-5 quickly and couldn't find any corresponding setting)
But maybe I overlooked the important part: What do you mean by "free tethering"?

I had this problem with C1 free version for Fujifilm cameras while shooting with GFX 100s almost a year ago with older macOS so it's not Sonoma problem.

I have exact same issue with my X-T4 on a Mac with Sonoma. Running Capture one express (Fuji) v16.3.1.23.
When Fuji X Acquire software saves the image file in the assigned Hot Folder location, Capture One Express for fujifilm (the "free' version of Capture one for Fuji owners) gives error message that file DSCF1234.___ is not found. After clicking on 'skip error' it just loads without problem in capture one. Annoying issue as this is generated every single shot.
