Win: Paths to old drives and folders remain in catalog as duplicates
Moving folders or referenced images to a new location through Explorer causes offline images. After relocating them, the new location is recognized by Capture One and the old drive/folders can be deleted, but when reopening the catalog, both paths (the old one and the new location) appear duplicated under the 'Folders' drop-down.

Workaround:
As the right path (new location) is already in the catalog linked to the corresponding drives and folders, delete the old drive/folder instead of relocating it over and over.
Once the old drives and folders are deleted, run a catalog repair and verification: Verifying and optimizing a Catalog
After following these steps, the old paths shouldn't appear anymore.

Marian Simó, Windows has a nasty habit of assigning new drive letters randomly when you reconnect external drives, especially when you plug that external into a different port. If Windows does assign a new drive letter, Capture One can only see that as a drive separate and distinct from the previously assigned drive letter (Drives D: and E: in your image above). I've pasted a link to an article allowing you to permanently assign a drive letter to an external. I haven't used Windows in ages so please explore any potential ramifications of doing this however it will alleviate your duplicate drive assignments in Capture One.

Hi Brian Jordan! Thank you so much for sharing this information and that link with us. I don't think this is the case for this specific bug as some of the users confirm they did not disconnect the new drive, but I'm sure what you shared will be useful for other cases, actually have seen similar reports in the past about how Windows handles the letters of the drives.

Marian, hi. I didn’t realize you’d commented on this over a month ago. It showed up in my inbox yesterday and I didn’t check the dates. Sorry!
