Text box overlays for retouching notes
What problem do you see this solving?
Whenever I'm on a shoot, I regularly have to take feedback from clients which is often about a specific part of the image that needs to be retouching in post. Currently, this involves using the annotation tool to crudely 'draw' my written notes on top which is so painfully slow and amateurish using a laptop touchpad. Earlier this week, a client saw me trying to draw an arrow followed by some scrawled notes using the pen tool and they actually said "surely you can just type some notes over the top". They were shocked when I said I couldn't! This has come up so many times and having text boxes (preferably with a draggable arrow that you can anchor to part of the image) that you can type in would be an absolute game changer.
When was the last time you were affected by this lack of functionality, or specific tool?
On almost every shoot this arises an an issue, the latest being two days ago.
Are you using any workarounds or other solutions to achieve your goals in Capture One?
Using the pen annotation tool, which is almost impossible - especially if the retouch notes are quite extensive (which means I write a couple of words which could easily lead to confusion if I can't remember the detail at a later date).
Are you happy to be contacted further about this suggestion or request?
Yes

There have been several requests for written annotations. Here's one of them (subsequent requests may have been deleted by now): https://support.captureone.com/hc/en-us/community/posts/9741053243293-Written-annotations
